About Jeff & Isaac

A Bit about Us:
Jeff     Isaac

jeff and isaac cruising

Greetings and a hearty welcome to our web pages. As you can see, we're in a festive mood right now; won't you join us? Good times with good friends and good conversation is always welcome, and we're glad you're with us. Please have a look around, and we hope you enjoy yourself.

For several years now we've promised more exposition about ourselves. Well, we've done it. Jeff has finally written an autobiographical sketch; read it if you dare. And now, just a few months later, Isaac has been inspired to follow suit.

(By the way, that's Jeff on the left and Isaac on the right, during our Caribbean, fin-de-siecle cruise in December 1999.)

Simply a small but growing collection of photos of the two of us: small with a few from our 2001 trip to Rome, growing as I locate more of the photos that we know must be around here somewhere.

Some Photos of Us

Dowland & Sandy:
Hundarna ov Björnslottet

Dowland and Sandy

On 12 June 1999 we took a big step in expanding our family: that's when Dowland, our adopted greyhound, arrived at Björnslottet and became a big part of our lives. But wait: that's just the beginning. Before long, his long face (not to mention silent pressure from other greyhounds' families) convinced us that he needed companionship. Thus is was that Sandy arrived on 28 September 1999. That's her on the right in the photo, watching Dowland try to get the squeaky bear out of its cave.

Try as we might to deny it, time passes and things change. Sadly, at the age of 11.5, and after being with us for a short 2.5 years, Sandy left us on 3 March 2002. Rest in Peace, Sandy.

On 11 May 2002, our latest family member arrived: Arlo, a black greyhound, 4.5 years old but very young at heart. We should have some pictures here of him soon, if he'll just hold still for a few minutes.

If we had a dime for every time someone asked us whether we're brothers, we'd have the house paid for by now. Even people who should know better by now just can't seem to help asking. Little old ladies think we must be twins.

Is this a universal phenomenon? Is it true that all men with beards look alike? There's our picture; what do you think? Click the link, cast your vote, and we'll settle the question right now.

Some Photos of Isaac

Isaac, drawn by Eli

This is another small but growing collection of photographs of Isaac, mostly (so far) taken when he was living in Rome (c. 1988). In particular, the beefcake number is not to be missed.

The drawing of Isaac at right is by our friend Eli Wardi.

For a few years now, Jeff's been experimenting with taking self-portraits. Here's a collection of some of the results, with the occasional photo actually taken by someone else (when he allows, and when he thinks the result doesn't make him look particularly dorky).

The drawing, again by Eli Wardi, shows Jeff in a characteristic pose, crocheting.

Two Bears Compared

Sizes and shapes of this and that, now that we're past that are-they-really-brothers question.
