WavSat-2 Facts

UoSAT-12, which we refer to as WavSat-2, was launched on 21 April 1999 aboard the first orbital demonstration launch of the SS-18 DNEPR vehicle, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Built by Surrey Satellite Technology, Ltd. as a technology demonstrator, the satellite carries payloads for Earth Imaging and digital communications missions.
